Background Built in the 13th century on the orders of the English king, Edward I, Harlech Castle is considered a jewel of medieval military architecture and is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Its rich history includes several sieges. The poster can be dated between 1947 and 1950, the years when the British Tourist and Holidays Board bore that name.
